july 5 Bobby Murcer ripped 2 homeruns as the San Francisco Giants defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 4 to 3 at Candlestick Park. Reggie Cleveland(7-6) was solid in relief, and he got credit for the win. He allowed just 1 hit and 1 walk in 2 innings. San Francisco managed only 5 on the night.
