april 14 Ron Cey went deep and had 3 RBI at Candlestick Park asthe Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 9 to 4. Cey had a good evening at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 2nd of the season) in the 3rd inning and doubled in the 9th inning. Los Angeles finished with 17 hits while San Francisco ended up with 9. Tommy John(2-0) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Ed Halicki(1-1) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 6 runs and 10 hits in 6 innings.
