Jack Clark smacked 2 homeruns and had 7 RBI at Riverfront Stadium as the San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 10 to 7.
Clark really lit it up for San Francisco . The Cincinnati fans let him have it for what he did to their boys. He banged out a single in the 1st inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning, lofted a three-run bomb (his 3rd of the season) in the 4th inning and laced a one-base hit scoring two baserunners in the 6th inning. Overall San Francisco out-hit Cincinnati 13 to 10.
Reggie Cleveland(2-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings and allowing 6 runs. Cleveland got help from Randy Moffitt who earned his 3rd save. Doug Capilla(1-2) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 6 innings.
'I felt great out there tonight' Clark said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly, and I was right on it with my swing.
