Bruce Kison went the distance and Bill Robinson connected with a 'big fly' and had 5 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Montreal Expos by a score of 13 to 4 at Three Rivers Stadium.
Robinson enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He delivered a single which was good for two runs in the 1st inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 35th of the season) in the 3rd inning and doubled which plated a run in the 6th inning. Pittsburgh kept the scorekeepers busy in the 6th inning with 7 runs on 7 hits. Pittsburgh had 20 hits for the night.
Kison(13-10) allowed 4 runs on the game. Larry Christenson(10-9) was tagged with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 and 1/3 innings. |
