GAME ONE: Milt Wilcox had a strong outing at Riverfront Stadium where the Cincinnati Reds beat the Atlanta Braves 3 to 0. Wilcox(9-6) was on top of his game. He allowed just 5 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Cincinnati banged out 8 on the night. The losing pitcher was Phil Niekro(12-11). Roger Slane was obviously impressed with the pitching of Wilcox, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there tonight. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working for him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'
