The San Francisco fans didn't appreciate the big day Burleson had. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 6th of the season) in the 5th inning, singled which plated a run in the 7th inning and banged out a single scoring a run in the 9th inning. Los Angeles kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6 different innings. The winning pitcher was Jerry Reuss(12-8) who allowed 4 runs in 5 innings.
