sept 3 Gary Gray cracked 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI and Steve Rogers tossed a complete game as the Montreal Expos defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 9 to 2 at Olympic Stadium. Gray provided much of the offense. He lost the ball over the fence for three runs in the 6th inning and belted a three-run homer (his 12th of the season) in the 7th inning. Montreal banged out 10 on the night. Rogers(16-8) allowed 2 runs on the game. Jerry Reuss(14-10) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6 innings of work. Montreal continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division leading 93-54. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Los Angeles has a record of 86-61 after the loss.
