And I mean never. This being the case, has anyone in this league noticed lineup discrepancies? I hope not, but I do know that unless you use draft league mode with no rest, HAL can sometimes be creative, but I hadn't noticed any mistakes when I check the box scores for my team. Another question, can an opposing manager change the lineups at will with the other team's settings locked? I will check from this point forward, but I hope we can use settings that will make sure that opposing managers don't have to do this. I personally like the idea that my opponent can play games without looking at, or worrying about, my starter schedule, lineups, or manager/player settings. On another note, I never knew you could set lineups base on the number of "points" of +L or +R. You have now sent me back to the help files to check this out. After playing thousands of games you would think I already would know this. Final note: Good luck to the Mets and the rest of the NL East for the stretch run. I am having a blast contending with a team I didn't really believe was good enough to compete for the entire season. It never ceases to amaze me how one can gain an affinity for some teams and not others in the course of an SOM season. This Expo team often wins ugly, and while it may not be enough to make the playoffs, I have to love this team. I hope everyone is enjoying this year as much as I am...it will be some time before the city of Montreal sees another winning season (just don't tell the fans!). Later, Steve Bivens -----Original Message----- From: Michael Tomeo [mailto:mtomeo@...] Sent: Sunday, January 27, 2002 6:56 AM To: SmileyList@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [SmileyList] Lineups Guys: One last thing on the lineups. You must check that HAL uses the proper lineup for each game. Don't assume that the lineup HAL puts out there is correct. I'm not sure of the league settings, but HAL will sit players that are over 100% to help bring them back down. Also, I have my reverse lineups set for 3L+ or 3R+,, , which means if a guy is only slightly backwards, to go with the regular lineups. Yahoo!
