Richie Zisk left the yard and scored 3 times at SHEA STADIUM where the
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the New York NL Mets in 10 innings by the score of 8
to 7.

The score was knotted at 7 after nine innings. Pittsburgh won it in the 10th
inning. Zisk drew a walk. Winston Llenas stepped up next and he slapped a
base-hit. Bill Sudakis then hit a sacrifice fly scoring the run. Pittsburgh
had a total of 11 hits for the game.

The victory went to Dave Giusti(1-3) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4
runs. Giusti got help from Ramon Hernandez who was credited with his 1st
save. Jim York(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.

It was a laugher out at SHEA STADIUM. The Pittsburgh Pirates squad ripped New
York NL pitching for a total of 12 runs. Dock Ellis(6-3), with relief help
from Fred Beene, allowed New York NL 4 runs.

Pittsburgh came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning as they
scored 6 runs on 6 base hits. The big moment was provided by Dave Parker who
quieted the home crowd when he singled which was good for two runs.
Pittsburgh dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Bob Apodaca(1-5) absorbed the loss in relief. He was knocked around,
surrendering 8 runs in 2 innings.

Ken Brett came through with a solid 7 innings at SHEA STADIUM as the

The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Pittsburgh won the game in the
10th inning. After an out was recorded, Rennie Stennett opened up the rally
as he drew a walk. Al Oliver followed and he doubled. Richie Zisk then
slapped a single plating two runs. A balk was called. One out later, Willie
Stargell came to the plate and drew a walk. Art Howe added to the outburst
and stroked a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. Pittsburgh
finished with 10 hits while New York NL ended up with 6.

The victory was credited to Gene Garber(2-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no
